You can add money to your prepaid account by cash loads or direct deposit. You can also add money to your account from a checking or savings account.

How do I add cash to my prepaid account?

To add money to your prepaid account using cash, you will need to take your cash and card number to a store location that offers one of the following money transfer services:

Visa ReadyLink (Visa only)
Green Dot Money Pak

After I add money to my prepaid account, how fast can I access it?

Direct deposits and electronic payments are available the same business day they are received by AccountNow. Cash deposits made through money transfer services are generally available instantly.

How much does it cost to add money to my prepaid account?

AccountNow does not charge any fees for adding money to your prepaid account by cash loads or direct deposit. However, store fees may applywith cash loads using money transfer service providers at their store locations, there is normally a "load fee" for this service that varies by provider. However, store load fees may apply. Please visit our deposit center for details on store load fees and current promotions that discount or rebate the store fee. You can add money to your account for free if you use direct deposit.

Why am I being charged to add money to my card?

When you add money to your prepaid account with cash, the money transfer providers normally charge a "load fee" for this service that varies by provider. AccountNow does not charge for adding money to your prepaid account. You can add money to your account for free if you use direct deposit.

How much money can I add to my prepaid account at one time?

There is no minimum on the amount you can add to your account; however, there is a daily maximum you can add to your account. The maximum daily limit is either $6,000 or $7,500 (please refer to your Cardholder Agreement) for Direct Deposit and up to $1,500 for cash loads, although certain third party money transfer services may have their own daily limits. For cash loads there is also a monthly limit of $9,500. Please see chart for cash load limits below:

Can I direct other people to add money to my prepaid account?

Yes, you can have anyone add cash to your prepaid account by using one of the following money transfer services: MoneyGram, Western Union, Visa ReadyLink (Visa only) or Green Dot Money Pak. You can also direct your employer or governments provider to add money using free direct deposit.

Are there any limits to the amount of money I can add?

Yes, there are daily, monthly and overall limits on the amount of money you can add to your prepaid account, There are daily and monthly limits on the number of loads you can do onto your prepaid account, and there may also be minimum load amount requirements. See our Fees and Usage Limits for a description of our current load limits. Money transfer service providers may have their own more restrictive limits.
